Abu Dhabi Government is responsible for developing and reviewing policies and legislation that drive the emirate’s socio-economic progress by enabling sustainable growth and ensuring the security and prosperity of the emirate’s citizens and residents.
The government’s policy agenda reflects the values on which the UAE was founded, tolerance and open-mindedness towards people and cultures, as it defines the priorities for the Emirate as the Government of Abu Dhabi strives to achieve an inclusive and secure society and a dynamic, open economy.
The Official Gazette is issued monthly, detailing the latest government decisions such as new legislation and decrees issued by the Ruler of Abu Dhabi, and decisions issued by the Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Chairman of the Executive Council, as well as circulars and regulations. The Official Gazette was first issued in 1965; historical editions are available in encyclopedia format.
